In early 2019, LSSC contracted Gyroscope and ConsultEcon to create professional, conceptual, visitor experience and business plans for our facility to be built in Stockmen’s Park in downtown Livermore. An executive summary of this activity is now available. The two-story building, designed by WMB Architects and Diede Construction, will be about 18,000 square feet plus a large open patio on the roof. The building will open onto plaza areas for outdoor events and science-related displays. The inside will have areas for community science, regional science and technology displays, classrooms, and two large galleries for theme-based interactive exhibits.
