The Livermore Science and Society Center was fortunate to be one of five beneficiaries at the annual Livermore Valley Wine Auction. Generous donors attending the September 21st event helped the auction committee surpass its goals and raise nearly $500,000 for underserved children. Several high bidders went home with a pair of binoculars, a microscope, and a private tour of Lick Observatory thanks to science-related auction items from the LSSC. As beneficiaries, we plan to provide mobile educational exhibits for local underserved children beginning in 2020.
