Treadmill Tinkering
Saturday, November 14, 10-12 pm

Can your rolling invention take on a moving treadmill? Build with wheels, axles, and other materials to find out!

Create a vehicle or invent something entirely your own, then see what happens when the treadmill starts moving. Will your creation roll smoothly, wobble, or surprise you? Try different designs and adjust the balance as each small change is a chance to discover something new about friction, motion, and what makes a design work.

This free family activity invites children and adults to tinker, experiment, and solve problems together. Bring your curiosity and see where it takes you!

Free and for ages 5 and up.

Location: Quest Plaza at Stockmen’s Park, 29 South Livermore Ave, Livermore, CA

Registration: Optional, but appreciated. Register below to receive event updates and help us plan materials. Walk-ins are always welcome.

What is Sparks?

Sparks is Quest Science Center’s free monthly hands on activity series for families. Held at Quest Plaza in downtown Livermore, Sparks offers fun, engaging opportunities to explore science, engineering, and creativity right in the heart of the community.

Each event features a single activity that can be completed at your own pace. Drop in anytime during the event and stay as long as you’d like. Activities are self paced, open ended, and designed for ages 5 through adult. Most families spend 15 to 30 minutes exploring.

Events may be canceled or modified due to weather.
