Grants are essential for us to advance our educational programs and connect everyone to the value of science, and in the past two months we have been fortunate to receive four grants.
Intersect Power provided a generous grant of $25,000 for general science education.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory provided two awards, $8,000 for supplies for our 2021 summer science camps and $10,000 to procure and assemble kits for phone-sensor-based physics lessons at Tri-Valley high schools, including Granada, Livermore, and Monte Vista so far. East Bay Community Energy provided $2,500 for health-related projects, including how masks work, the impact of respiration and ventilation on indoor air quality using CO2 monitors, and understanding biases around vaccination.
