Apollo 11 Mission Trajectory Exhibit now hangs in the Bankhead Theater Lobby

Jul 12, 2019

In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, LSSC has fabricated a scale model that uses LED light strips to track the trajectory of the rocket and space capsule—first around the earth, to the moon, around the moon, and then back again. The LSSC model is accompanied in the Bankhead Theater Lobby by many Apollo 11 mission photos and other activities organized by the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center and the Tri-Valley Stargazers. The exhibit will be in the lobby through September 10, with various special events including a commemoration Reception on July 20. More details of the Apollo 11 mission are available online.
