Quest Interns Lead Climate Initiatives

Quest’s high school interns are gaining recognition for their impactful projects aimed at improving planetary health. Students mentored by Quest staff were interviewed about their leadership in organizing the Tri-Valley Youth Climate Summit and their ongoing efforts through Quest’s Tri-Valley Youth Climate Action Program (TVYCAP). Sid Shah Earns National Award

Sid Shah, a Tri-Valley Youth Climate Action Program (TVYCAP) intern from Amador Valley High School, was a finalist in EcoAmerica’s American Climate Leadership Award for Youth and received a $5,000 scholarship. He appears at 27:22 in the broadcast. Watch the broadcast.

Monya Lane Honored

Our own Executive Director Monya Lane was officially inducted into the Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame this spring for her work at the helm of Quest, and as an inspiring role model for women and girls interested in STEM career opportunities. Read more.

District Adopts Climate Resolution

Quest’s teenage interns spearheaded a bold initiative to pass a Climate Literacy Resolution for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District, that will ensure all 13,000 students will gain a much greater understanding of the changing climate factors their generation faces.
