Move 2 Joined Roche Molecular Diagnostics as a Development Scientist on the Blood Screening team helping to bring to market diagnostic solutions that help keep blood donations safe from transferring viruses and other infectious diseases.
Move 3 Transitioned into Marketing Communications in 2007, supporting numerous product portfolios as well as the Global Access Program since its inception in 2014.
Roche is a major biotechnology employer in the Bay Area, combining the strengths of Roche Molecular Diagnostics, Roche Sequencing Solutions and Diagnostics Information Solutions with two main hubs in Pleasanton and Santa Clara. Our talent is over 2,000 strong, with over 800 employees working in research and development.
Community
Philanthropic and community outreach are focused locally in the areas of STEM education, cancer and infectious disease patient services and community health.
Sustainability
Roche worked with the City of Pleasanton to build the first building in the city to use reclaimed water for toilets and industrial cooling. This new facility has solar thermal panels for heating, and is K6 compliant – a Roche directive to not use hydrofluorocarbon or refrigerants. The new 70,000-square-foot building is targeting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification.
